Why us?

We know there are millions of AI study apps and generic online guides on the Internet. But as seniors of LAHS, we know our school. We know the teachers and the specific LAHS curriculum, and we've had first-hand experience that other Internet study tools don't. 

  • Tailored to our school: Our peer tutors have taken the exact classes you are in right now. We understand the testing experience, how to study effectively, and how to succeed.
  • Human-run: AI is a valuable resource for studying, but it typically offers inaccurate information and often violates academic integrity. Instead, you'll get personalized guidance from peers who actually understand where you're coming from.
  • Free: There are no paywalls and no subscriptions. We created this website to help our peers free of charge.
  • Community support: Beyond offering 1-on-1 tutoring, we address any questions posed to our email and socials. We share study resources, listen to each other's struggles, and support our peers no matter what (even during the AP weeks and finals).

Our goal is to support our peers academically, especially considering the rigorous nature of LAHS classes and teachers.

We hope that our efforts will give students an effective and consistently easy-access resource, ultimately elevating the student experience in such a stressful academic environment.

The people behind Los Altos Brain are dedicated to providing quality resources for the students in our local community.

 We work closely with staff to ensure our content is relevant and up to date, and we are always open to feedback and suggestions from students and teachers alike. All of our tutors have experience in the school's peer tutoring system and offer flexible schedules. Founders

Austin Ke

Austin helps with challenging social studies and STEM coursework. He mainly provides support in Euro/US History, Biology, and Calculus.

Nancy Chen

Nancy covers a broad spectrum of STEM subjects, supporting nearly all mathematics levels as well as Physics C. She also tutors in French.

Core Team

Maya Ding

Maya specializes in language and social studies, particularly in Psychology and Mandarin, offering clear, structured academic support.

Timothy Dong

Tim helps build foundational math skills, focusing on Algebra I and Geometry. He also offers study support in Psychology.

Aaron Tsai

Aaron provides versatile academic support across STEM and language, specializing in Trigonometry, Biology, and Mandarin.
